An activist central to Restore Britain's campaign for the upcoming Holborn & St Pancras by-election has previously stated that "Jewish ideas" have "ruined" the country, according to a video flagged by the charity Stand Up To Racism.
Patrick McGinnis of the National Housing Party (NHP) served as the official proposer for Tyler Johnson, whose candidacy as Restore's MP for the Camden constituency was confirmed on Wednesday, September 16, after he secured the party's nomination.
Stand Up To Racism directed the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) to a video Mr McGinnis filmed of himself in 2024, in which he makes antisemitic remarks, including that the media was "controlled by Zionists" and that "Jewish ideas are destroying our country". The video, posted on the Odyssey video-sharing platform from an NHP UK account, has had 30 views, at least two of which were from journalists working on this story.

In the video, titled 'Jewish ideas are destroying our country, not Islamic ones' and published on May 10, 2024, Mr McGinnis continues: "I didn't want Muslims coming in. I didn't want Africans, Asians, Polish, Russian. I didn't want anyone settling here permanently." However, he goes on to say he does not advocate for removing legally settled migrants and suggested people expressing Islamophobic views, while he says they are "right" for "hating" them, are misdirecting their energy, as he claims Britain's problems are down to "Jewish ideas", bizarrely claiming Jewish people have been "putting transgenderism into our schools".
Mr McGinnis previously ran as a candidate for the NHP in the May elections but has since endorsed Restore for the upcoming poll, triggered after former Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer resigned his seat. The NHP site identifies McGinnis as leader and co-founder, and the Electoral Commission registration identifies him as leader and nominating officer.
Campaign connections and party response
Also apparently linked to Restore's campaign is Lewis Holmes, according to a Facebook post from an account in his name and his appearance in a photo with campaign materials. Pictures taken from that Facebook account in his name celebrate the work of "patriots" leafleting in the area for Restore. The LDRS has also seen captures of Facebook comments made from that same account, including: "How about instead of telling third worlders not to spit s*** on the floor, we deport them? Simple." Another states: "They come from cultures incompatible with the British way of life. Every single one needs deporting."
The ethno-nationalist party's leader, Rupert Lowe MP, has admitted that Restore would not win Holborn & St Pancras "entirely because of mass immigration" and has instead framed the by-election as the chance to "send the most powerful message that you want your capital city back".
Reaction and next steps
The LDRS contacted Restore Britain and Mr Johnson, Mr McGinnis and Mr Holmes for comment. The NHP's brief response to the LDRS' queries read: "You are an Anti-White Christ Hater."
