Christina Boyd's Secret Call Raises Suspicions in Corrie Murder

In Coronation Street, the search for Theo Silverton's killer continues, and Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) is behaving increasingly suspiciously. After being questioned by police multiple times, Christina took a mysterious phone call in tonight's episode that left viewers questioning her motives.

Christina is among several Weatherfield residents under suspicion for Theo's murder. Earlier this week, Detective Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) visited her to clarify discrepancies in her initial statement. Christina had claimed she picked up Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) on the night of the murder, but traffic cameras placed her at a petrol station elsewhere. She later amended her statement, telling George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) that she had simply misremembered.

However, during that same conversation with George, Christina pressured him to tell the police that Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) was lying about her whereabouts on the night of the murder. Summer has been under scrutiny after Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) discovered she was wearing the brooch found in Theo's flat. Additionally, Christina and George had read Summer's diary, which detailed her hatred for Theo and fantasies of violent revenge.

In tonight's episode, Christina was seen speaking on the phone, trying not to be overheard. She asked the other person for help, acknowledging that she was asking a lot, but said it was just until she sorted out the 'mess' she was in.

What mess is she referring to? Does she know more about Theo's death than she has revealed? Although she persuaded George to tell the truth about Summer to get the police off his back, could she have had an ulterior motive? Could Christina be the real killer? Viewers will have to wait to find out.
