Chelsea Open to Offers for Alejandro Garnacho and Enzo Fernandez This Summer
Chelsea Open to Offers for Garnacho and Fernandez

Chelsea are reportedly ready to listen to offers for Alejandro Garnacho and Enzo Fernandez ahead of the summer transfer window, as the club looks to reshape its squad after a turbulent season.

Garnacho's Difficult First Season

The Argentine winger joined Chelsea from Manchester United last summer for £40 million, but has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge. Garnacho, 21, has scored just once in the Premier League this season and has started less than half of the club's matches. Despite being a boyhood Chelsea fan, his move has not revived his career as hoped. He is contracted until 2032, but the club is now open to selling him to free up space for new arrivals, according to The Telegraph.

Enzo Fernandez Also Available

Midfielder Enzo Fernandez could also be on his way out. The World Cup winner has repeatedly hinted at a desire to join Real Madrid, especially after Chelsea's Champions League exit to PSG. His comments led former manager Liam Rosenior to drop him for two games. While the matter was supposedly resolved, transfer speculation continues. The Guardian reports that Chelsea are willing to sell Fernandez but will demand a high fee for the player who cost over £100 million in 2023.

Other Potential Departures

Cole Palmer, last season's Premier League Young Player of the Season, has also been linked with a move after a quieter campaign. Manchester United are monitoring his situation, but a deal is considered unlikely while Bruno Fernandes remains at Old Trafford.

Recent Form and Upcoming Fixtures

Chelsea lost their last five Premier League games without scoring under Rosenior, who lasted just three months in charge. The Blues won their FA Cup semi-final against Leeds United 1-0 to reach the final against Manchester City. Interim boss Calum McFarlane now aims to boost European hopes with league matches against Nottingham Forest and Liverpool.
