Beverley Callard Misses I'm a Celebrity Final on Medical Advice

Beverley Callard has been forced to withdraw from the live final of I’m a Celebrity... All Stars due to medical advice, leaving the star “absolutely gutted.” The 69-year-old Coronation Street actress, who appeared in the South Africa All Stars season, exited the pre-recorded portion early after experiencing a “funny turn” in the jungle. It was later revealed she had breast cancer, though she was unaware at the time.

Unable to Attend the Live Final

Callard was scheduled to fly to London for the final but cancelled on medical advice. “Yesterday, I should have flown to England to get ready for the I’m a Celeb final. I was so excited and looking forward to it, but on medical advice, I can’t go, I am gutted,” she shared on social media. She added that the long day of travel and late-night filming was deemed too strenuous. Instead, she will join via Zoom to chat with her fellow cast members.

“So I’ve got to make the best of a bad job but I am resting and I am doing as I am told. Thanks to everybody,” she said. In her caption, she wrote: “A last minute change of plans…Absolutely gutted but I know it’s for the best. Resting up and getting well is more important at the moment.”

Support from Fans and Co-stars

Friends and fans have expressed their support. Co-star Ashley Roberts commented: “Bless ya Bev. We will miss ya.” Another fan wrote: “Glad they can Zoom you in to be part of it. Rest is recovery, sending lots of love.” Others echoed the sentiment that her health comes first.

Other Cast Members Expected to Attend

The rest of the cast, including finalists Scarlett Moffatt, Mo Farah, Harry Redknapp, Adam Thomas, and Craig Charles, are expected to attend. The season has been notably dramatic, with clashes involving Sinitta and Gemma Collins, David Haye facing criticism, and a row between Adam Thomas and Jimmy Bullard. Bullard initially refused to attend the final amid legal action claims but later hinted he would appear.

Co-hosts Ant and Dec teased the final: “We’ve got the live final tomorrow night, that is going to be interesting, we’re getting them all back together. Apparently they are all coming…” The winner will be crowned the legend of the jungle, with Adam Thomas emerging as a fan-favourite after his clashes with David and Jimmy.

The I’m a Celebrity... All Stars live final airs tonight at 7:30pm on ITV.
