Arsenal given €70m price for Morocco star Ayyoub Bouaddi

Arsenal have been given a price tag for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, following their approach for the Morocco international. The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the most highly rated young talents in Ligue 1 and is expected to make a significant impact for Morocco at the ongoing World Cup.

Bouaddi shines in World Cup opener

In Morocco's opening group stage match against Brazil, which ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday, Bouaddi was one of the standout performers in central midfield. His displays have attracted attention from several top European clubs.

According to Sky Sports reporter Sacha Tavolieri, Arsenal have been actively working on a deal to sign Bouaddi for several months. The Premier League champions have maintained regular contact with the midfielder's entourage since January last year.

Arsenal's plan for Bouaddi

The report adds that Arsenal have made it clear to Bouaddi and his representatives that he would be considered an important part of Mikel Arteta's squad immediately. Arsenal's message is said to have 'resonated' with Bouaddi, and the Morocco international has expressed his interest in the prospect of moving to the Emirates Stadium.

However, Arsenal face strong competition as Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing Bouaddi this summer. Further talks between Arsenal and the player are scheduled for after the World Cup.

Lille demand €70m

Lille are demanding a transfer fee of €70 million (£60.4 million) for the midfielder. Arsenal will need to decide whether to meet that valuation or explore alternative targets.
