The World Naked Bike Ride returns to London on Sunday, June 14, 2026, with hundreds of nude cyclists pedalling through the city to raise awareness for cyclist vulnerability and protest against car culture.
Event Overview
London is known for its traditions and annual events. This weekend, Trooping the Colour took place on Saturday, June 13, with Central London filled with spectators. The World Naked Bike Ride usually coincides with Trooping the Colour but this year it takes place on Sunday, June 14, avoiding the clash.
The event has been running since 2004. Last year, around 1,200 cyclists participated. Riders start from various points and merge into one group from Westminster Bridge onwards.

Participation and Legality
No sign-up is required. Simply turn up at any location with your bike (personal or hire) and disrobe. There is no law against nudity in England under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. Using nudity to cause distress is illegal, but the ride's protest nature protects participants. Police are informed in advance. Participants should avoid prolonged nudity before or after the ride.
The World Naked Bike Ride began in Zaragoza, Spain, in 2003 as a protest against oil dependency and has spread to over 200 cities. Causes now include reducing car culture, cyclist rights, vulnerability awareness, and body positivity.
