Decathlon has officially opened its doors inside IKEA in Croydon, marking the first-ever partnership between the two global brands. The ribbon was cut on Friday, April 24, by the Mayor of Croydon, Jason Perry, and former Crystal Palace and Republic of Ireland footballer Clinton Morrison, welcoming hundreds of visitors to the 1,188-square-metre sports hub at Valley Retail Park on Purley Way.
A New Sports Destination
The new store offers a vast selection of sports equipment covering more than 70 sports. Shoppers can explore over 5,000 technically crafted products, including expert gear for running, cycling, hiking, swimming, and more. This unique setup allows Croydon residents to access everything Decathlon has to offer while also visiting the IKEA store and restaurant.

Clinton Morrison, former Crystal Palace and Republic of Ireland footballer, expressed his enthusiasm: “I wish there was a store like Decathlon on my doorstep when I was growing up! Being a lover of sport, I know just how much this will mean to young people who want to find their passion and the excitement of something new. The Click & Collect service is also available, allowing customers to order from Decathlon’s full online range and pick up in-store.
