A mother and her seven-year-old son have tragically died after getting into difficulty in water at a west London park. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the victims were aged 34 and seven.

Emergency services were called to Elthorne Park in Ealing just before 4:30 PM on Saturday. The mother and son were recovered from the water but both died at the scene.
