The Guardian presents Killer Sudoku 1,028, a challenging variation of the classic puzzle. Normal sudoku rules apply, but with an additional constraint: the numbers in cells enclosed by dotted lines must add up to the figure shown in the corner of each shape. No number can be repeated within any shape formed by dotted lines.

The print version of Killer Sudoku 1,028 is available online. To see the completed puzzle, readers must purchase the next issue of the Guardian for puzzles published Monday through Thursday. Solutions for Friday and Saturday puzzles are provided in either Saturday's or Monday's edition.
