£15 Wimbledon Centre Court tickets via resale scheme

For tennis fans, Wimbledon is the highlight of the year, and getting tickets for Centre Court is the ultimate goal. Seasoned fans of the tournament will know there are three main ways to get tickets if you haven't been lucky enough to get an invite into the Royal Box.

Three Ways to Get Wimbledon Tickets

The most well-known method, through which the majority of tickets are distributed, is the annual online ballot which takes place well ahead of the tournament. A second route - which isn't for the faint of heart - is joining The Queue, where fans camp overnight hoping to secure one of 500 tickets reserved for same-day purchase.

However, a third alternative exists for those unwilling to spend hours stationed in the neighbouring park, through the ticket resale scheme.

How the Resale Scheme Works

This scheme operates for all ground pass holders at Wimbledon. Upon entering the grounds, visitors must make their way to the ticket resale kiosk, situated near Court 1 and Henman Hill, explains the Express.

If Centre Court, Court 1 or Court 2 ticket holders leave the All England Club later in the afternoon, they're offered the opportunity to scan their ticket, making it available for resale. These tickets then become accessible to other attendees after 3pm for £15 on Centre Court or £10 for Court 1 and Court 2 seats. All revenue supports the Wimbledon Foundation.

Steps to Secure a Resale Ticket

To stand a chance of securing one of these affordable seats, supporters must join the ticket resale queue and have their Wimbledon App scanned by a steward.

Visitors can then carry on enjoying the grounds and will receive an SMS notification when their turn arrives to purchase a ticket - though a strict time limit applies to complete the transaction.
