Woman Arrested After Teen Stabbed in Croydon

A 19-year-old woman has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Croydon that left a teenage boy with multiple injuries. The attack occurred on Oliver Grove in South Norwood at approximately 5pm on Thursday, April 23.

Incident Details

Police officers responded to reports of an assault on Oliver Grove, where they discovered a 17-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds. The victim was promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have confirmed that his injuries are neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

Arrest and Charges

A 19-year-old woman was taken into custody on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and robbery. She remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated: “At around 5.03pm on Thursday, April 23, officers were called to reports of an assault on Oliver Grove, South Norwood. Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance and located a 17-year-old boy with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing. A 19-year-old woman has since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and robbery. She remains in police custody.”

Emergency Response

The London Ambulance Service dispatched an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, a motorcycle paramedic, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer to the scene. London’s Air Ambulance was also deployed. A spokesperson said: “We were called at 5pm yesterday to reports of a stabbing in Oliver Grove, South Norwood. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre by road.”
