Upminster driver Tasers man after hitting woman with car

Shocking Series of Events in Upminster

A man has been arrested in East London following a disturbing sequence of events where a driver allegedly struck a woman with his car before using a Taser on another man. The Metropolitan Police were called to Stewart Avenue in Upminster at approximately 4:20 PM on Tuesday, November 11.

Woman Hit by Car Outside Restaurant

The incident began when a car reportedly failed to stop after a collision. A female pedestrian, described as being in her 50s, was hit by the vehicle outside a local restaurant. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and provided treatment for her injuries.

Man Tasered in Separate Incident

Shortly after the initial collision, a separate altercation occurred nearby. A man, also in his 50s, was injured by a non-police Taser. He too received medical attention at the scene from London Ambulance Service paramedics. Fortunately, neither the woman nor the man required hospitalisation following their ordeals.

Suspect in Police Custody
