Motorsport tycoon Paddy McNally, who was a former romantic partner of Sarah Ferguson, has died aged 88 after a long illness. His death comes just two months after the sudden death of his son, Sean.
Relationship with Sarah Ferguson
McNally, a former racing driver, dated Sarah Ferguson between 1982 and 1985. The pair met when Fergie was hired to look after his two sons, Sean and Rollo, following the death of his wife. They split the same year she began her relationship with Prince Andrew, whom she married in 1986. Ferguson later used McNally's chalet as a home after leaving Royal Lodge.
Family tragedy
Two months before McNally's death, his son Sean died on his Scottish estate, where he lived remotely. A friend told the Daily Mail: 'He was in a bad way for a while, so this comes as good news.'
