The Metropolitan Police has launched an investigation after a man in his 20s was stabbed on a busy shopping street in Woolwich. The incident occurred on Powis Street at approximately 8:10pm on July 18.
Victim hospitalised with single stab wound
Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and located the victim with a single stab wound. He was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-changing or life-threatening, the force confirmed.
No arrests have been made, and enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate the person responsible. Police have urged witnesses to come forward to assist the investigation.

Photos from the scene show a cordon and a heavy police presence at the junction of Powis Street and Greens End. The stabbing occurred less than an hour after a separate incident in Balham, where a 37-year-old man was left fighting for his life after members of the public chased an armed man away from the victim on Weir Road.
