Wrexham man admits selling suicide chemicals online in two deaths
Man pleads guilty to online chemical sales for suicide

A Wrexham man has pleaded guilty to selling a chemical substance online with the intention of assisting people in taking their own lives.

Miles Cross, aged 33 and from Wrexham, admitted to four charges of intentionally doing an act capable of encouraging or assisting the suicide of another person.

Complex Police Investigation

The court heard that his arrest in January 2025 followed a major investigation by North Wales Police. The force was probing a business that was selling the substance via an online forum specifically to assist with suicide.

Investigations are currently examining two deaths in connection with four packages containing the substance that were sold online.

Exploiting Vulnerability for Profit

Detective Chief Superintendent Chris Bell commented on the case, stating that Cross had exploited individuals at their most vulnerable. "Cross took advantage and exploited his victims in their most desperate moments, profiting off their vulnerability and mental illnesses," DCS Bell said.

He expressed hope that the guilty plea would provide some relief to the victims' families, sparing them the ordeal of a trial. He also praised the courage of witnesses and the thorough work of the investigation team, which included the Crown Prosecution Service and the National Crime Agency.

Miles Cross is scheduled to be sentenced at Mold Crown Court on Wednesday, January 7.
