Teenage Victim of Train Stabbing Revealed as Actor's Nephew

A 17-year-old boy who survived a violent knife attack on a train last weekend has been identified as the nephew of rising Hollywood actor Damson Idris. The incident, which sent shockwaves across the country, occurred in the early hours of Saturday, November 1, aboard an LNER service from Doncaster to London.

Isaiah Ishmael was travelling home when he was slashed across the face during the assault. The attack is part of a broader incident for which a suspect has now been formally charged.

Charges Laid in Wake of Violent Assault

Anthony Williams, 32, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 3, facing a series of serious charges. The Crown Prosecution Service, after reviewing a significant volume of evidence including CCTV, has authorised ten counts of attempted murder.

Williams is also charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of possession of a bladed article. Chief Crown Prosecutor Tracy Easton stated that the charges reflect the severity of the event, which impacted multiple victims, and confirmed that the number of charges will be kept under review as the investigation progresses.

Family Confirmation and Heroic Acts Emerge

While Damson Idris, known for his role in the FX series Snowfall, declined to comment, another uncle, Habeeb Idris, confirmed the family's private ordeal to MailOnline. "I am aware that Isaiah was involved in the incident on a train, but we are dealing with this privately as a family," he said.

Amid the horror, stories of bravery have surfaced. LNER rail operator Samir Zitouni was described as "nothing short of heroic" for his actions during the attack, reportedly protecting a girl from being stabbed.

In a further development, the British Transport Police (BTP) is investigating a potential link between the Huntingdon stabbing and the separate stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in Peterborough on the evening of Friday, October 31. Two other incidents involving a man with a knife entering a city barber shop are also under review.
