Teenager Detained Following Woman's Death
A 13-year-old girl has been arrested by police investigating the suspected murder of a woman in her 50s in Swindon. Emergency services were called to an address on Baydon Close in Moredon following reports of a disturbance inside the property.
Upon arrival, the woman was found not breathing and was tragically declared dead at the scene. The incident occurred on the evening of November 21, 2025, with police confirming the arrest the following day.
Police Investigation Underway
Wiltshire Police have launched a murder investigation and have confirmed the teenage girl is their only suspect in connection with the death. A cordon remains in place at the address as forensic enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Darren Ambrose stated: "This is a serious incident in which a woman has sadly died. I can confirm that we have arrested a teenage girl in connection with this incident and we are not looking for anyone else."

The police force has warned local residents to expect an increased police presence in the Moredon area while investigations continue. The suspect remains in police custody at this time.
