London NYE Fireworks Tickets on Sale October 23

The first batch of tickets for London's New Year's Eve fireworks will go on sale at midday on Friday, October 23, via Ticketmaster, the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has announced. The annual celebration, first organised in 2000, has become a staple of the capital's winter calendar, drawing around 100,000 locals and tourists to the banks of the River Thames each December 31.

Event Details and Viewing Areas

Crowds typically gather along Waterloo Bridge and the Victoria Embankment to watch the display above the skyline. The show begins with Big Ben's famous bongs, followed by thousands of fireworks and hundreds of lights illuminating the night sky around the London Eye, accompanied by an eclectic soundtrack.

The event honours the moments that shaped 2026 and looks ahead to 2027, culminating in a rendition of Auld Lang Syne. Millions tune in each year on TV and online, making it one of the most watched shows of the year.

Mayor's Urgent Advice to Buy Early

Khan urged both Londoners and visitors to purchase tickets as soon as possible to avoid missing out. "Nowhere in the world brings in the new year like London," he said. "Every year our unique display of fireworks, lighting and music shows off the very best of London, as around 100,000 Londoners and visitors line the banks of the River Thames and millions watch on around the world."

He added: "I'm proud that our celebrations get better every year and are an incredible advert for our capital and a significant boost to our hospitality and tourism industries. Demand for tickets is always high, so I urge anyone wanting to attend to buy your ticket as soon as possible so you don't miss out on experiencing the best New Year's Eve fireworks show in the world."

Ticket Prices and Purchase Rules

Tickets must be purchased ahead of the event and normally sell out very quickly. A final smaller batch of tickets will go on sale later this year. Only tickets bought from Ticketmaster will be accepted; those acquired through any other means will not be valid for entry into the viewing areas.

Ticket prices for 2026/27 have been released, along with a viewing area map. Attendees can also register for updates and a ticket reminder. The event is expected to provide a significant boost to London's hospitality and tourism industries, with the mayor highlighting its role as an advert for the capital.
