The Guardian has issued corrections for several recent articles, including a clarification regarding Shell CEO Wael Sawan's compensation and a misnamed England football supporter.
Shell CEO Pay Correction
An article titled "FTSE bosses paid 130 times more than average worker" (20 July, p25) stated that Wael Sawan, CEO of Shell, received a pay rise of 60% to £13.7m. After publication, Shell informed the Guardian that this was not a pay rise but a transition to full pay following a three-year vesting period. The error has been corrected.
England Fan Name Error
In an article titled "Fans feel the drama" (16 July, p6, later editions), an England football supporter was incorrectly named as "Rachel George." Her correct name is Rachael Judge. The Guardian apologizes for the mistake.
