Police in Commerce City, Colorado, have apprehended a man who was caught juggling fire while riding a unicycle on a pedestrian crossing, in an incident that has drawn both admiration and legal scrutiny. The unusual performance occurred at the intersection of US-85 and East 60th Avenue, a location known for its high traffic volume.
Daring Act Captured on Police Drone Footage
Footage released by the Commerce City Police Department shows the unicyclist, dressed in a red hat, blue trousers, and a colourful jacket, expertly balancing on his single-wheeled vehicle. He can be seen manoeuvring forwards and backwards across the crossing, entertaining motorists who were waiting for the traffic lights to change.
The man demonstrated remarkable skill by lifting one leg to balance on just a single pedal, all while juggling three flaming torches. After completing his act, he quickly hopped off the unicycle and ran out of the way of the waiting cars, avoiding any immediate collision.
Police Response and Legal Violations
In a social media post, the Commerce City Police Department commented on the incident, stating, "Our drone caught his act, which was both quite good and quite illegal." Officers emphasised that while the performance was impressive, it breached several laws, including:

The police warned the public against such activities, adding, "Let's all take a moment to appreciate this man's talents, then all agree that we aren't going to do stuff like this."
