Emmerdale: Charity and Mack face police as Dr Todd blackmail plot thickens
Emmerdale: Charity and Mack face police in Todd blackmail plot

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) may be struggling to keep the attack and blackmail from her family, but she has not given up in her fight against Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker). After an initial police report failed to keep Todd in custody, Charity returned to the station to report the blackmail, hoping it would be enough to bring Todd down. However, DS Reid (Angela Lonsdale) informed her that the two allegations would be treated separately, not as part of a larger crime.

Mackenzie Boyd learns the truth

Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) is now aware of most of what happened. While initially managing to support his wife, he crumbles as the Christening approaches. Overwhelmed by self-loathing, he picks a fight with Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill), but Kev refuses to engage. Instead, Kev encourages Mack to explain himself. Mack blurts out that Charity cheated on him, and Kev suggests planning revenge on Todd.

Mack tracks Todd down to a new hospital, where she gloats and tries to convince him that Charity is untrustworthy. Mack backs Charity and warns Todd she will be imprisoned soon. Todd remains unruffled, even when Mack threatens to kill her, suggesting she has faced such threats before.

Serena Sugden offers support

Charity is on the verge of giving up, but Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) persuades her to press on and fight her attacker. Galvanised by Serena's words, Charity prepares to act. At that exact moment, the police arrive for Mack, leaving Charity's plans in jeopardy.

According to Metro Soaps, the drama continues as Charity and Mack face the consequences of their actions against Dr Todd.
