Former I'm A Celebrity Contestant Denies All Charges in Court Appearance
Lord Charles Brocket, the 74-year-old former contestant on ITV's reality series I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, has formally pleaded not guilty to multiple serious sexual offense charges during a court hearing at Isleworth Crown Court. The peer, whose full name is Charles Nall-Cain Brocket, entered his pleas in response to allegations involving a single victim.
Specific Charges and Court Proceedings
During the recent court appearance, Lord Brocket specifically denied two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of sexual activity without consent. All charges relate to incidents alleged to have occurred in London on August 10, 2025. The defendant, dressed in a navy suit with white shirt and blue tie, spoke only to confirm his identity and date of birth before denying all allegations against him.
This hearing follows an initial appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court seven months earlier, where the allegations were first outlined to him but no pleas were entered at that time. Notably, a previous charge of sexual assault by penetration alleged to have occurred in Warbleton, East Sussex on May 5, 2025, has been dropped by prosecutors.
Trial Timeline and Legal Representation
Following his not guilty pleas, Lord Brocket's trial has been scheduled for November 1, 2027. He has been granted conditional bail and is required to appear for a pre-trial review on October 7 of next year. Throughout the legal proceedings, his lawyer Henry Milner has consistently maintained that "the allegations are all denied."
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the alleged victim, whose identity remains protected by law, "is being supported by specialist officers." According to police statements, the investigation began when the matter was reported to authorities on the same day as the alleged incidents in Fulham, West London.
Background and Public Profile
Lord Brocket first gained significant public attention when he finished fourth in the 2004 season of I'm A Celebrity, which was ultimately won by Kerry Katona. His participation in the Australian jungle alongside fellow contestants Peter Andre and Jennie Bond significantly boosted his public profile.
Prior to his reality television fame, the Eton-educated peer was known as a prominent playboy during the 1980s, particularly noted for his extensive collection of classic cars that once included 42 Ferraris. Following his jungle experience, he capitalized on his newfound popularity by publishing the bestselling autobiography Call Me Charlie in 2004 and hosting television programs including the ITV game show Scream! If You Want to Get Off and the behind-the-scenes reality program Privates Exposed.
The case continues to develop as both prosecution and defense prepare for the scheduled 2027 trial, with all parties awaiting further legal proceedings in the coming months.
