Kate Middleton's Autumn Video Promotes 'Beauty in Change'
Kate Middleton's new autumn video on change

The Princess of Wales has shared a heartfelt new video celebrating the autumn season and its profound lessons on change and personal growth.

A Royal Message for the Season

Released on Saturday, November 15, the film is the third instalment in Kate Middleton's Mother Nature series, which aims to highlight the beauty of the UK's changing seasons. The Princess personally narrates the video, which was filmed at the start of October.

In a caption signed with her initial 'C', posted alongside the video on social media, she wrote: “Autumn – a season of reflection, growth and deeper connection. Embrace the beauty found in change, as we prepare for winter’s rest. C”

Community and Connection in Windsor

A significant portion of the footage was captured in the scenic Windsor Great Park. It shows the Princess trying her hand at outdoor cooking alongside chef Gill Meller and a group of children from Farley Junior Academy in Luton.

The children, who are supported by the charity Go Beyond, are seen sharing food and stories with the royal around a bonfire. The charity provides access to nature and residential trips for young people across the UK facing challenging circumstances.

Filming Across the Nations

The project also has a strong connection to Northern Ireland, following the Princess's visit there with the Prince of Wales in October. Additional filming locations included Long Meadow Cider in Co Armagh and Mallon Farm in Co Tyrone.

In her narration, the Princess of Wales offers a moving meditation on the season, stating: “As the days grow shorter and the shadows grow longer, the energy of summer withdraws into autumn. This is a season for reflection and refinement.”

She continues, drawing a parallel between nature and human experience: “Trees shed their canopies in preparation for winter, just as we too learn to let go of what is no longer needed... With the turning of the seasons, Mother Nature teaches us there is beauty to be found in change, impermanence and in letting go.”

The video concludes with a powerful and hopeful message: “Let love be the root that holds us, the light that guides us, with hope, through change. Endure.”
