A second teenager has been charged with murder following the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy in Woolwich. Eghosa Ogbebor was shot dead on Lord Warwick Street on Thursday, April 2, and died at the scene.
A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Wednesday, May 6, and charged with murder. He is scheduled to appear before Barkingside Youth Court on Thursday, May 7.
This development follows the earlier charging of a 16-year-old boy from Romford with murder on Friday, April 10. He appeared at Thames Magistrates Court the following day and was remanded in custody.
In addition, a 19-year-old man was arrested in Woolwich on Saturday, April 4, on suspicion of murder, and a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Two boys, aged 14 and 16, and an 18-year-old man were arrested on Friday, April 3, in connection with Eghosa's death. They have also been bailed as the investigation continues.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and they are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
