Police Statement on County Lines Crackdown

Detective Chief Inspector Alex Willcox from Hertfordshire Constabulary's Crime and Investigation Department emphasized the department's ongoing commitment to disrupting county lines operations. "This latest week of action is part of our continuing drive to disrupt and dismantle county lines gangs operating in the county," Willcox stated.

"During this week of action, we targeted three gangs operating in the Watford area, making some significant arrests, seizing large amounts of Class A and B drugs and thousands of pounds in cash in the process," he continued. "We will continue to take a very proactive approach, working with our partners in other forces and national agencies to make it difficult for these crime groups to operate in our towns."

The detective chief inspector further explained that their strategy involves identifying emerging gangs early to prevent serious offenses from occurring. The police encourage public cooperation in combating drug-related crime through their non-emergency channels.
