British Transport Police are investigating a sexual assault that took place on a Southeastern train travelling from Charing Cross to London Bridge. Officers have released an image of a man they believe may hold crucial information about the incident.

Assault on board the train

The assault occurred at approximately 10pm on Wednesday, September 23. According to police, a man boarded the train and sat next to a lone woman, despite other seats being available on the carriage. He then sexually assaulted her.

Detectives are keen to identify the man pictured, as they believe he may have information that could assist the investigation. The incident has prompted an appeal to the public for help in tracing him.

Description of the man

Police have described the man as being of either Black or South Asian heritage. At the time of the incident, he was wearing black headphones and a black t-shirt beneath a zip-up jacket. He was also seen drinking a large bottle of Lucozade.
