A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Staffordshire on Sunday morning after a man fell into a well on the high street of Cheadle, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

Staffordshire Police, fire, and ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene at 8.40am on Sunday, following a call from the West Midlands Ambulance Service. The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service detailed that three of their crews, along with a technical rescue unit from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, were mobilised to assist in the operation.

Road Closure and Rescue Efforts

Police closed the road to ensure public safety and facilitate the rescue efforts. The man was reportedly stuck in the well for approximately two hours before being successfully extracted at around 10.35am. Upon rescue, he was assessed by ambulance crews at the scene to determine his condition.
