A 29-year-old man has been arrested after a man in his 20s was stabbed in broad daylight in Wealdstone, North London. The victim was rushed to a major trauma centre with stab wounds, though his injuries are not believed to be life-changing.

Police were called at 10:35am on Monday, August 10, to reports of a stabbing in The Cross Way, Wealdstone. Officers arrived to find the victim at the scene. The London Ambulance Service dispatched an air ambulance, and the man was taken to hospital as a priority.
The suspect, a 29-year-old man, was later arrested on suspicion of affray and assault causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody as enquiries continue.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 10.35am on Monday to reports of a stabbing on The Cross Way, Wealdstone. Officers attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance and located one man, aged in his 20s, with stab wounds. He has been taken to hospital where his condition was confirmed to be non-life changing. A 29-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of affray and assault causing grievous bodily harm. Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference CAD 2593/10AUG.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called today at 11.16am to reports of a stabbing on the Cross Way, Harrow, HA3. We sent ambulance crews and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority by road.”
