Police have arrested a 63-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after a man in his 40s was attacked with an axe in Brentford, leaving him with life-changing injuries. A spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.23pm on Tuesday, August 4, to reports of an incident in Transport Avenue, Brentford. We sent resources including ambulance crews, a clinical team manager, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance. We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”

Following an investigation, on Wednesday, August 12, officers arrested a 63-year-old man from Brentford on suspicion of attempted murder. He was taken into police custody and remains there as of the latest update. The Met Police have stated that the victim, a man in his 40s, is in hospital with life-changing injuries.
