Mum spends £2k filtering blood to stay young

A mother from Buckinghamshire is investing thousands of pounds in a radical wellness procedure, filtering her blood in a bid to turn back the clock on ageing.

The £2,000 Youth Elixir

Tracy Kiss, a 38-year-old online content creator from High Wycombe, undergoes a treatment known as EBOO blood filtration. This process involves withdrawing blood from the body and passing it through a specialised filtration device designed to remove toxins. Tracy describes the experience as "life-changing" and says it leaves her feeling "amazing".

She started the treatments in 2025 and has already spent £2,000 on the procedure, asserting it's "worth every penny". Blood treatments like EBOO and apheresis, which claim to strip away heavy metals, harmful chemicals, and microplastics, are gaining popularity among wellness influencers and celebrities, including actor Orlando Bloom.

Biohacking for a New Lease on Life

For Tracy, biohacking is akin to a rebirth. "I renew my cells so I look naturally young," she explained. She has swapped previous beauty treatments like lip fillers and Botox for a regime that includes oxygen chambers and light therapy. This shift came after she felt "like an 80-year-old" at the age of 25.

Her drive is also deeply personal. Tracy lives with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), a genetic condition that causes severe inflammation and food intolerances. She believes the filtration helps reset her system. "Despite being a vegan bodybuilder, eating clean and healthy and leading an active lifestyle, I recognise that heavy metals and microplastics will have entered my body through food containers, clothing and drinking water," she said.

Visible Results and Future Plans

The results, she claims, are undeniable. Tracy says she is now so youthful in appearance that she is often mistaken for the sister of her 18-year-old daughter and routinely gets asked for ID when buying alcohol. She also boasts increased strength, enabling her to hike mountains, lift weights, and do pull-ups.

Last month, Tracy had her first session at Harley Street Medics in London and has already booked two more over the coming months. This initial round of three treatments will cost a total of £6,000. Afterwards, she plans to continue with sessions two or three times a year to maintain the benefits.

She reassures that the procedure is straightforward and pain-free, comparing it to having a vitamin drip. "You can listen to relaxing music, take a nap or catch up on your favourite TV series to pass the time," Tracy added.

While several UK clinics now offer EBOO, critics point to limited evidence of its benefits and warn of potential risks like illness from "oxidative stress". However, Tracy dismisses the naysayers. "Improving any condition of your health is a bonus. How anybody could criticise that is beyond me," she stated. "It's not about being perfect but improving your quality of life, maximising your lifespan and investing in longevity."
