From Near-Death Experience to Spiritual Awakening
Ange de Lumiere first discovered her extraordinary sixth sense when it literally saved her life at age 21. The trainee lawyer was living in Paris during September 1986 when a series of bomb attacks terrorised the French capital.
Returning from her internship on the underground, Ange had planned to stop at her favourite bookstore, La Fnac, to purchase some reading material. "I was determined to go shopping – and I am not the type of person who changes her mind," explains Ange, now 60 and residing in Bristol.
Yet something remarkable happened that day. "For some reason, I could not get up and stayed rooted to my seat on the metro. I saw the doors open and then close in front of me at my stop and I thought 'what is going on?'"
She remained on the train until reaching the stop near her parents' house. Emerging from the underground, she witnessed ambulances and police cars screaming past. When she turned on the news at home, she discovered a terror attack had occurred at the exact spot she would have walked down on the Rue de Rennes – an explosion that killed seven people and maimed 55 others.
The Journey to Spiritual Connection
This traumatic experience launched Ange on a lifelong quest to understand intuition, spirituality and the universe's nature. She came to accept that intuition – a genuine sixth sense – had preserved her life that fateful day.
Convinced that angels had protected her, she immersed herself in mysticism literature while maintaining her high-flying legal career. She trained in tarot, reiki, mediumship and animal communication alongside her professional work.
For fifteen years, Ange thrived in her legal profession, loving every moment. However, when she welcomed her first son in 1995, the new mother began experiencing burnout as she juggled demanding work hours with parenthood.
"I couldn't sleep. And I felt helpless and was losing hope," she recalls.
Her work-life balance deteriorated further in 2001 when her marriage collapsed two years after her second son's birth. Having relocated from France to Bristol and working as a single mother, she received devastating news that her company was restructuring, threatening the job she cherished.
"I was exhausted and had lost hope. I was lonely and didn't know how I would survive financially. It was very stressful," she remembers.
Divine Intervention and Practical Guidance
Then came a pivotal moment that convinced Ange "that angels were there to help me." During a beautiful September day, while walking in a Bristol park and worrying about mortgage payments and supporting her children, she looked skyward in desperation and asked aloud: "What am I going to do?"
In apparent response, a white feather approximately 10cm long drifted down into her hand from nowhere. "There was no bird around, no-one else. I now know it was the angels saying: 'This is going to be tough, but we're going to be with you. We're going to support you.'"
Soon, Ange began noticing signs everywhere. One night, nearing breakdown over financial worries, she again pleaded for guidance. The following morning, her son woke with an ear infection requiring a doctor's visit. The physician took one look at the exhausted mother and signed her off with stress.
Ange left her job, retrained as a sustainable success coach and never returned to law. "I believe the ear infection was created by the angels to take me to the doctor, because I would have never gone myself," explains Ange, who now works as an author and podcaster.
Harnessing Your Sixth Sense: Ange's Expert Tips
Ange now shares her wisdom on connecting with intuition and spiritual guidance:
Use intuition for important decisions: Research using logic first, then write down your question and distract yourself. Answers often arrive unexpectedly or in dreams.
Recognise angel signs: Watch for white feathers, butterflies or repeating number sequences as confirmation you're on the right path.
Develop meditation practice: Quiet sitting helps distinguish intuitive thoughts from other mental chatter.
Let angels manage your schedule: When over-scheduled and exhausted, ask them to cancel unnecessary plans.
Avoid energy vampires: Set boundaries with complainers, argumentative types, attention-seekers and drama creators who drain spiritual energy.
Redefine success: Journal about what truly matters and whether you're living authentically or meeting others' expectations.
Trust angels with technology: They can intervene through social media algorithms or unexpected connections. "My phone once rang a friend without my touching it and it turned out she really needed to talk to me," Ange adds.
Living in Spiritual Alignment
Now Ange communicates with angels daily, interpreting certain unsettling moments – like when a clairvoyant remarked "you have angel dust all over your hands" or when an unexpected orb disrupted her work video – as "the energy of the angels surrounding me and building up around me."
She describes angels as "spirit beings that are in service of humanity" and shares remarkable stories of their intervention, including preventing a friend's car accident by revealing dangerously worn brakes after sugar was found in the fuel tank.
After experiencing burnout four times, Ange now recognises warning signs like irritability and proactively hands her schedule to the angels. "I simply ask, in my mind, 'please handle my diary'. If I tend to overcrowd myself, the angels will cancel everything that's not necessary."
While it might sound improbable, for Ange, this approach works seamlessly. When fully aligned spiritually, she finds everything – work, family and travel – falls perfectly into place.
"When you're in the zone, everything works. The flight attendant smiles more at you, they offer you freebies, your luggage is the first to come out. It feels like flow, and it feels like ease, and it feels like magic," she concludes.
