Anakaliyah Mooi, a 29-year-old social media influencer from Florida, has spent over £75,000 on plastic surgery, including having six ribs removed, to transform her body into what she describes as a 'walking, living fantasy.' Standing at 5'3", she now has a 23-inch waist and 34H breasts after undergoing multiple procedures over the years.
From Breast Augmentation to Rib Removal
Mooi began her cosmetic journey at age 18 with a breast augmentation, moving from an A-cup to a 34H after four surgeries. She has also had rhinoplasty, veneers, butt fillers, and a controversial waist-narrowing operation in Peru in September 2025. The rib removal surgery, which cost between £7,000 and £15,000, involved partially fracturing ribs before wearing a corset during recovery. Mooi had previously removed ribs 10, 11, and 12, and later had higher ribs done in a 30- to 45-minute procedure, staying in Peru for 10 days.
'I consider my body a work of art. To me, it’s a true expression of beauty,' Mooi said. She posts as @anakaliyah.goddess on TikTok, where she documents her surgeries and says she doesn't want to look natural: 'If I’ve had surgery, I want it to look like I’ve had surgery.'
Rising Demand for 'Barbie Waist' Surgery
According to Delta Clinics, demand for body contouring procedures like 'Barbie waist' surgery has increased markedly in 2026. The procedure reshapes lower ribs to create a smaller waistline and has grown in popularity due to less invasive techniques and weight-loss trends like Ozempic. However, a medical review noted that rib contouring lacks evidence of 'long-term safety.' The American Society of Plastic Surgeons warns of risks including pneumothorax, nerve irritation, and failure of rib bone cortex healing.
Mooi insists that discipline after surgery is crucial: 'About 70% of results come from wearing your corset properly, following your diet and taking care of yourself afterwards.' She admitted that recovery from a rib flare correction surgery has been more painful than the initial rib removal. 'Rib removal was so easy. I was sore for about two weeks. This recovery has been much harder. I still can’t twist properly, and if I stretch I still feel pain.'
Funding and Sacrifices
To fund her procedures, Mooi says she rarely travels, doesn't drink, and spends little on designer goods. She has worked on OnlyFans for five years to raise money. 'I don’t really live a luxurious lifestyle. I save almost everything for surgery. My priorities right now are paying off my house and my plastic surgery,' she explained. Her latest breast augmentation used expandable implants that weigh around 8lbs, costing £9,100.
Mooi began documenting her surgeries after rib removal because she felt people were too afraid to speak openly about cosmetic procedures. While many supporters follow her transformation, she has faced criticism, mostly from women. 'That actually makes me sad because I think women should uplift each other,' she said.
Future Plans and Expert Warning
Mooi believes she is 'about 90% complete' but has no plans to stop. She aims for a 22-inch waist and plans a lip lift and larger anime-inspired eyes. 'Eventually ageing is going to happen, and there will probably be plastic surgery to fix those problems. So no, I don’t think I’ll ever stop having plastic surgery.'
Health expert Thorrun Govind warned about the risks of extensive plastic surgery: 'Cosmetic surgery can be safe when carried out by a qualified surgeon. But every operation carries risks. The more extensive the surgery, the greater the chance of complications.' Govind added that rib removal is extremely invasive and carries serious risks because ribs protect vital organs.
