Floral tributes and cards have been placed outside a house on Lloyd Baker Street in Clerkenwell, where a 28-year-old man was found with fatal stab wounds. Police were called to the scene at 11:50pm on Wednesday, September 16, and the London Ambulance Service took the man to hospital, where he died the following day, September 17.
The victim's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. No arrests have been made, and detectives say they are making urgent enquiries. A police cordon remains in place around the property, with a white tent erected at the crime scene.
Scene remains cordoned off
Photographs from the area show a visible police presence, with officers walking up and down the street. Fingerprint dust was seen on the door of the house at the centre of the investigation. The cordon has blocked off the street, and forensic teams have been trawling the scene for evidence.
