Katie Price's £2k dog 'rescued' after abandonment, ex claims

Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews' ex-wife claims the couple abandoned their new £2,000 Pomsky puppy, which she has since rescued. Dina Taji, who runs Dubai Street Kitties, a cat rescue shelter, posted on Instagram that she had to pick up the dog and keep him safe after he was left with a pet-sitter.

Abandoned Puppy Rescued in Dubai

The Pomsky, a Pomeranian-Husky cross, was purchased weeks ago after Lee was released from prison in Dubai. The purchase sparked outrage given Price's controversial history with pets. Dina Taji claimed the dog was abandoned after reports that Lee was re-arrested a month after being freed.

In a video, Dina said she needed to 'save this dog now this person is in jail.' She added that people had messaged her asking to send the dog to the UK, presumably for Katie, but she is investigating to ensure the dog goes to reliable people who will not neglect or abuse it.

Price's Troubled Pet History

Katie Price has a long history of pet controversies. PETA UK previously offered her £5,000 to stop adopting animals. PETA UK Senior Vice President Mimi Bekhechi said: 'Is there no low to which Katie Price will not stoop?' She accused Price of swapping pets 'as easily as one replaces a pair of socks', with at least seven of her animals known to have died.

Currently, Price is thought to have seven cats, after one of her Sphinx cats reportedly died or went missing. Bekhechi added: 'Peta's £5,000 offer for her to stop collecting animals still stands, and we implore her to take us up on it – for the sake of Doris, this puppy, and any other animals unfortunate enough to cross her path.'

Lee Andrews' Legal Troubles

Lee Andrews was re-arrested last week, a month after being freed from Al Awir prison. His father, Peter, was also jailed in the same prison. A source told The Sun: 'Both Lee and his dad are now behind bars, in the same prison. Lee maintains his innocence and is hoping to pay off his outstanding debts and get out of that hellhole as quickly as possible.'

The source added that Lee is trying to raise collateral to get out of the country and return to the UK, but Price is reportedly furious and fed up with the drama. Friends are urging her to leave him.
