Katie Price has addressed her husband Lee Andrews' latest arrest in Dubai for the first time, focusing on the welfare of their newly acquired Pomsky puppy, Dubaii. The 48-year-old former glamour model took to Instagram on Sunday to repost a statement from friend and reporter Clemmie Moodie, confirming the dog is 'happy, healthy, and with her best friend' and will be arriving in the UK 'in the next couple of days.'
Lee Andrews' Arrest and Financial Woes
Lee Andrews was reportedly taken to Lahbab Police Station in Dubai on Friday, just weeks after being released from Al Awir prison where he spent four weeks over separate financial matters. A friend told The Sun that Lee messaged them confirming his arrest and suggesting Katie might need to 'bail him out' or 'make a noise with a GoFundMe.' Lee is believed to owe £120,000, which he is attempting to raise. The fresh legal troubles stem from an alleged unpaid luxury hire car bill from 2022 worth around £54,000 and an alleged £15,000 debt to a law firm.
Katie's Silence and Dog Update
Unlike the first time Lee was arrested, when Katie liaised with UAE police and posted desperate pleas online, she has remained relatively quiet. Her only public comment has been about Dubaii, the male Pomsky (a Pomeranian-Husky cross) she and Lee bought for £2,000 at the end of June. The purchase sparked outrage given Katie's history with pets, including a missing cat named Doris at the time. Peta UK's senior vice president, Mimi Bekhechi, told Metro: 'Is there no low to which Katie Price will not stoop? While one of her cats, Doris, is reportedly still missing, instead of being worried sick and out searching for her, as any caring, responsible guardian would, she has flown to another country and acquired a new dog, as easily as one replaces a pair of socks.' Bekhechi added: 'A Pomsky of all animals, in the Dubai heat, to add insult to injury. How many animals have been lost, discarded, or have died under her so-called "care" before authorities ban her from keeping animals? Peta's £5,000 offer for her to stop collecting animals still stands, and we implore her to take us up on it – for the sake of Doris, this puppy, and any other animals unfortunate enough to cross her path.'
Pet Travel Challenges
Bringing Dubaii to the UK may prove complicated. The UAE is classified as a 'non-listed third country' under UK pet travel regulations, meaning pets must follow the commercial and non-commercial import process and travel as manifested air cargo, not in the cabin or as excess baggage. A UK-based agent must oversee customs entry. Additionally, Lee is subject to a travel ban, which could affect the dog's journey.
Katie's History with Pets
Katie has faced numerous pet tragedies over the past decade. In November 2017, one of her horses was killed on the A24 after breaking loose. In February 2018, her dog Queenie was hit by a car near her home. In November 2018, she claimed the family's pet chameleon, Marvin, died from a broken heart after her children moved with her ex-husband. In February 2020, her Alsatian Sparkle died after escaping and being hit by a car. In July 2020, Princess' puppy Rolo suffocated in an electric-powered chair. In November 2022, her Pomeranian Sharon was hit by a car and killed. In June 2023, her dog Blade was run over on the same stretch of road. In August 2025, Doris gave birth to a premature kitten that did not survive.
Lee's Allegations and Background
Lee has faced multiple accusations since marrying Katie. He was previously exposed for misleading claims of being a multi-millionaire business owner, with his profile featuring AI-generated photos with Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian. He is banned from leaving Dubai due to an alleged fraud case involving a £200,000 mortgage taken out in an ex-girlfriend's name. He also teased a fake pregnancy with Katie. Two of his exes have accused him of being a 'liar, narcissist and manipulator,' and he has been accused of scamming women for money. Despite these allegations, Katie has remained by his side.
