Hollyoaks Jonah drugs tiramisu with anxiety meds in shock twist
Hollyoaks Jonah drugs tiramisu in shock twist

Jonah Keane (Matthew Wolfenden) made a shocking move in Tuesday's (August 11) Hollyoaks episodes, drugging the tiramisu he intends to feed his guests with wife Beth's (Rebecca Ryan) anxiety medication. The patriarch of the Channel 4 soap's latest clan has been struggling with the prospect of son Caleb (Lewis Walton), who was injured in a crash earlier this year, moving away to London with girlfriend Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith).

Jonah's destructive revelation

Caleb changed his mind about London and instead decided on travelling the world as it was his mum's greatest wish to do such a thing. Jonah, however, destroyed his hopes and dreams earlier this week when he revealed that Caleb's mum, who tragically died, was in love with someone else prior to her death – and claimed she was intending on travelling with the mysterious other person and leaving them behind.

Beth, meanwhile, was still on edge about Cindy Cunningham's (Stephanie Waring) presence in the village and thus Jonah encouraged her to take her anxiety medication. In a bid to mark his dead wife's birthday, Jonah threw a party in her honour – though the animosity between he and Caleb was still very much present.

Party guests in danger

Partygoers Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) and Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) were confused as to why they were at an event in honour of someone they'd never met and, quite clearly struggling to enjoy it, they resolved to leave. Jonah, however, was determined to make sure everyone stayed and, in shock scenes, he decided to drug the tiramisu with Beth's medication.

He offered everyone a bit in subsequent scenes. The question is: will anyone work out what Jonah has done? Will Caleb suss it out? And if so, just how will he react?
