Freddy Brazier's ex-girlfriend Holly Swinburn has claimed that their dog was 'mistreated' before it attacked him. The son of the late Jade Goody was hospitalised after his pocket bully Pablo bit him and his grandmother, Jackiey Budden, leaving a 3cm hole in his arm. The dog is now in police kennels and has until Tuesday to be rehomed or it will be put down.
Holly Swinburn's plea for Pablo
Holly Swinburn, who shares daughter Isla with Freddy, has spoken out to beg for someone to take the dog before the euthanasia deadline. She wrote on Instagram: 'This is Pablo. I had to give him to someone as I was struggling with a baby and a dog, he has been mistreated there and attacked them to protect himself. He's the nicest dog and this is totally out of character for him. He wouldn't hurt a fly.'
She continued: 'Please if anyone has a good home for Pablo message me! I don't want to see him being put down and I can't look after him and a baby by myself :(.' She did not name who had 'mistreated' the pet.
Freddy's account of the attack
This weekend Freddy spoke out about the attack, claiming the dog 'hooked onto his arm' leaving blood coming out of his tracksuit. He told The Sun: 'I couldn't feel anything in my right arm. But then I saw blood coming out of my tracksuit. I opened it to see a 3cm hole in my arm. It was terrifying.' Despite the attack, he begged for his dog back, describing the pet as his 'son'.
He said: 'I want my dog back, but my nan has told me that he can't go back to her house, and my dad won't have him at his house. I have never seen him as my dog — he's like my son. He's in police kennels and I'm probably not going to see my dog again.'
Previous incident with grandmother
After representatives for Freddy confirmed he was receiving medical attention for the bite, it was later revealed that it is not the first time the dog has attacked. Police and the fire brigade were called to a home on July 16 by a concerned neighbour after the dog gripped onto Jackiey. A source told The Sun: 'It's been a shocking few days. During the first incident Jackiey was home alone and she was mauled – on this occasion one of her panicked neighbours raised the alarm. Both the police and the fire brigade attended, but fortunately it wasn't too serious – and they agreed not to pursue criminal charges.'
'But a few days later the incident was repeated, and this time it was worse. Freddy came back to take Pablo but caught up in it all as the dog was clearly still frenzied. Freddy went to A&E immediately, but discharged himself after complaining that the waiting time was too long. But yesterday he was forced to return and his injuries couldn't be ignored. He was still in hospital at night receiving significant treatment. It's been an awful few days and Freddy is devastated as he absolutely adores that dog and Pablo is a huge part of the family.'
