I Planned My Kids' Zodiac Signs: The One I'd Avoid as a Parent
Planned Kids' Zodiac Signs: The One I'd Avoid

When planning a baby, most parents consider due dates, school years, or holiday seasons. But some, like psychic Inbaal Honigman, 52, from Holmfirth, Yorkshire, take it a step further: they plan their children's star signs. Inbaal deliberately conceived all four of her children to align with specific zodiac signs, prioritizing compatibility and personality traits.

A Mother's Astrological Vision

Inbaal's journey into astrology began at age 20 when she discovered Tarot. 'Practising Tarot readings and learning the spiritual world fascinated me,' she says. 'Star sign compatibility has fascinated me ever since.' Before having children, she used astrology in dating, filtering online profiles for Pisces or Sagittarius matches. She met her husband, Sean, a Pisces with Sagittarius rising, in 2005, and they were 'a wonderful match.'

Conceiving a Pisces

When trying for their first child in 2007, Inbaal struggled to conceive. A fellow psychic suggested sending a Father's Day card from the unconceived baby on June 21, the Summer Solstice. 'I thought, if we conceived right now, it would be a Pisces. I loved the idea of a happy family of three happy Pisceans,' she recalls. They conceived, and her due date fell in Pisces season. When her baby was overdue, she chose an induction date in Pisces over Aries to ensure her desired sign. 'I was absolutely elated to get my Pisces baby. I know Pisces so well, I felt I could be an amazing mum.'

Planning the Next Three

Her second child, born in 2012, was also a planned Pisces. However, her third pregnancy in 2015 brought complications. Originally a twin pregnancy with a due date in Capricorn, she hoped for a caesarean in Sagittarius. But only one twin survived, and he was born a Capricorn—a sign not on her wishlist. 'I've searched my soul for any signs of regret or sadness that he wasn't Sagittarius, and there are none. He's perfect.' Her fourth child arrived in 2017, another Pisces born on the same day as her first. 'Nice and Pisces, just the way I like them!' she jokes.

The Sign to Avoid

Inbaal's primary goal was to avoid Aries. 'I didn't think I'd be a great mum to a boisterous, overactive baby like an Aries,' she explains. Ironically, her Pisces children all have strong Aries placements in their charts, making them boisterous anyway. 'Even if you get exactly what you asked for, you may not get what you want.'

She admits planning isn't foolproof—only 5% of babies arrive on their due date. Still, her family of five, including her husband (Pisces) and four children (three Pisces, one Capricorn), thrives. 'My Capricorn son fits right in,' she says. 'He's gorgeous, smart, and sassy.'
