Bonfire Night 2026 in London will feature at least 13 major fireworks displays, with several long-running events expanding or introducing new formats. Alexandra Palace has unveiled a two-day Fireworks & Drone Festival, while Blackheath Fireworks is returning larger than ever after last year's sell-out revival.
Key changes for 2026
The most significant changes this year are at Alexandra Palace, which has introduced a new 'Fireworks & Drone Festival' format, and Blackheath Fireworks, which has expanded its capacity and added a wider entertainment programme. Blackheath's new People's Stage will give local performers, musicians and community groups a platform at one of London's largest Bonfire Night events.
Several major events are already selling tickets or operating pre-sale schemes, so Londoners planning ahead may want to book sooner rather than later. This year's Bonfire Night falls on Thursday, November 5, but most of London's biggest displays are taking place across the following weekend.
Alexandra Palace Fireworks & Drone Festival
Often regarded as London's biggest fireworks event, Ally Pally returns with a brand-new two-day format on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8 at Alexandra Palace Park, N22. Visitors can expect a choreographed drone display alongside the traditional fireworks show, plus a giant bonfire, funfair rides, ice skating, street food, bars and live entertainment.
Saturday is designed as a festival-style night out with DJs and London's largest German Bier Festival, while Sunday offers a more family-focused experience with children's entertainment and an earlier display.
Blackheath Fireworks
One of London's most famous Bonfire Night events is returning bigger than ever on Saturday, November 7 at Blackheath Common, SE3. Organisers have expanded the site and expect up to 40,000 visitors, making it one of the largest fireworks celebrations in the capital.
Alongside fireworks, visitors can enjoy performances from DJ Luck & MC Neat and Brandon Block, the return of the 'Massaoke' crowd sing-along, the Lords of Lightning spectacle, the Big Belly Comedy Club, a funfair, bars and a larger street food village. New for 2026 is the People's Stage, showcasing local performers and community talent across Lewisham.
Wimbledon Park and Morden Park Fireworks
Merton Council's hugely popular display returns on Bonfire Night itself, Thursday, November 5, at Wimbledon Park, SW19. The family-friendly event features a musical fireworks show, funfair attractions, street food and bars, with tickets expected to sell quickly. Visitors can choose between an earlier display aimed at younger children and a later main event.
The sister event at Morden Park, SM4, takes place on Saturday, November 7 and is one of South London's largest organised displays. Guests can choose between an earlier family-friendly show and a later evening spectacle, with a funfair, food vendors and bars on site.
Battersea Park and Coram's Fields
Battersea Park, SW11, is expected to return on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8, with organisers already operating a pre-sale list. The event is expected to feature separate sessions aimed at families and general audiences.
Coram's Fields in Bloomsbury, WC1, hosts one of the few remaining major free fireworks displays in central London on Thursday, November 5. Adults are permitted entry only if accompanied by a child due to the park's unique rules.
Other confirmed displays
Beckenham Fireworks in the Park returns to Croydon Road Recreation Ground, BR3, on Saturday, November 7, with family entertainment, food stalls and a large professionally organised finale. Southgate Fireworks at The Walker Ground, N14, also on November 7, attracts spectators from across Enfield, Barnet and north London.
Ealing and Harrow Fireworks at Byron Park, HA0, combines Bonfire Night with Diwali festivities on November 7. Dulwich Fireworks at Dulwich Sports Ground, SE21, and Chislehurst Fireworks at Chislehurst Recreation Ground, BR7, both take place on the same day. Bromley Fireworks at Bromley High School, BR1, completes the south London line-up.
Down Hall Fireworks Night at Down Hall Hotel, Hatfield Heath, Essex, returns on Sunday, November 8. Set within 110 acres, gates open at 6pm with children's entertainment, and the main display begins at 7pm. Visitors can enjoy burgers, pizzas, doughnuts and toffee apples, while complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate are included with general admission.
