Arcade Arena, a massive new neon arcade featuring real-life Pac-Man, is set to open on the Southbank in London on Saturday, September 5. The venue, located at 26 Lambeth High Street, SE1 7SJ, promises an immersive gaming experience with three main attractions, including the UK's first immersive drone experience, according to the game's inventors.
Three Unique Games
The first game, Alien Invasion, invites players to join the Cosmic Cadets in a battle to save the universe from extraterrestrial enemies. The inventors describe it as 'the UK’s first ever immersive drone experience', offering a unique twist on traditional arcade gaming.
Another attraction, Chaos Karts, features electric karts and screens with ever-changing scenes, designed to make players feel like they are speeding through a dynamic, evolving world. The third game, the Pac-Man Live Experience, challenges players to collect power, dodge ghosts, and race around a lit-up maze, all against the clock.
Expanded Venue
Arcade Arena already has a location in Manchester, but the London venue will be an expanded version, and the only place where visitors can engage in the Alien Invasion UFO battle. The venue also includes a bar serving both soft and alcoholic drinks, as well as snacks, and a dining area for relaxation between games.
Pricing and Availability
Tickets for Arcade Arena start at £30. The opening is scheduled for next month, and the venue is expected to attract both locals and tourists seeking a new entertainment experience in the capital.
