Folk-Pop Titans Mumford & Sons Announced for BST Hyde Park
The acclaimed British folk-pop band Mumford & Sons have been officially confirmed as headliners for the BST Hyde Park festival in London. They are set to take over the Great Oak Stage on Saturday, July 4, 2026, promising a spectacular summer performance for their fans.
Star-Studded Festival Lineup Revealed
BST Hyde Park continues to build excitement for its 2026 edition with this major announcement. The festival, known for bringing top-tier talent to the heart of London, had already revealed that US country icon Garth Brooks will perform on Saturday, June 27, with supports from Zac Brown Band and Ashley McBryde.
The growing lineup for the festival also includes confirmed performances from Maroon 5 on July 3, Pitbull on July 10, and Lewis Capaldi on July 11 and 12.
From Arena Tour to Festival Stage
This festival news arrives as Mumford & Sons prepare for a significant UK arena tour this December. The band is scheduled to play nine arena shows across the country, including two nights at London's O2 Arena on December 10 and 11, 2025.
Formed in West London in 2007, Mumford & Sons were instrumental in the folk revival of the late 2000s. Led by frontman Marcus Mumford, the original lineup included Winston Marshall, Ted Dwayne, and Ben Lovett.
The band has achieved remarkable success, winning two Grammy Awards and two Brit Awards. Their albums Sigh No More and Delta both peaked at number two on the UK charts.
Following Marshall's departure in 2021, the band released their fifth studio album, Rushmere, in April 2025. The album, released on March 28, debuted at number one on the UK charts, making it their third chart-topping album after Babel (2012) and Wilder Mind (2015).
Tickets for Mumford & Sons' BST Hyde Park show will go on sale next week, offering fans a chance to see the band's anthemic hits like "Little Lion Man" and "I Will Wait" in one of London's most iconic outdoor venues.
