The confusion began after Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, shared a selfie on Instagram with co-star Tina O'Brien, who portrays Sarah. Fans quickly interpreted the photo as a hint that Sarah would be released from prison, but Fallon and other viewers clarified that the image was taken on the Corrie set near the prison set, not a spoiler.
Fan Reactions to the Instagram Selfie
After Fallon posted the selfie, some fans commented, "Guess ar Sarah Lou gets out then x" and "Lucy Fallon – spoiling future corrie storylines since 2025." Others demanded more details, with one asking, "Lucy Fallon what else can you tell us." However, other fans pointed out that the prison set is located opposite the cafe on the Coronation Street lot, meaning Sarah could still be incarcerated. One user noted, "tbf the prison set is only opposite there, above the cafe…" and another added, "She's just taking a photo with Tina… they might not be in character yet lol."

This is not the first time Fallon has faced spoiler allegations. In October 2025, she had to deny leaking the entrance of the character Becky Swain after a selfie in her dressing room showed actress Amy Cudden's name on a mirror. Fallon told The Sun, "Oh my god, yeah. Someone tagged me in a social post saying, 'Lucy Fallon comes back after having a baby and leaks the biggest storyline in Corrie' I was like, 'What the hell are they talking about? What have I done?' But honestly, nobody would have known what character that name belonged to – it wasn't even a spoiler at that point."
