Later, when Cassie finds Ross, Tyrone, and Tracy celebrating his new local employment, she is sickened. Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) urges her to bide her time and wait for Ross to reveal his true colors.

Steve later breaks up with Cassie after finding an empty strip of strong painkillers in her cardigan pocket. When Tyrone discovers what has happened, he throws her out onto the street.

Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) attempts to reignite her love life but faces obstacles. Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) tries to reassure a nervous Asha before her first date with Sienna Milburn (Charlotte Tyree). When they return full of smiles, a phone call changes Sienna's mood instantly and she dashes off. Later, Nina's suspicions are aroused when Sienna claims her hasty exit was due to taking her elderly nan to bingo. Nina is left red-faced when she catches them in bed together. Unable to find her wage packet, Nina confronts Asha, believing Sienna stole it.

Debbie's Mistake

Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) makes a mistake that sees her vow to make a change. At a garden party hosted by Sally and Tim Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine), Debbie fails to recognize Tim and accuses him of being a pervert. After Mary (Patti Clare) gently reminds her who Tim is, Debbie is mortified and vows to stop drinking altogether.
