Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) has undergone a significant transformation on Coronation Street, evolving from a desperate addict who once drugged Ken Barlow (William Roache) into a woman determined to secure her future with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson). However, her ongoing feud with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) has only intensified, leading to a dramatic proposal next week.
Cassie's Journey and Feud with Tracy
Cassie arrived on the street as a chaotic figure, causing trouble for her mother Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) and her long-lost son Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). Her past actions, including lacing Ken's tea with antihistamines and stealing from him, sparked a bitter rivalry with Tracy, who tried to provoke a relapse by offering Cassie drugs. Ken forgave Cassie, and she eventually reunited with Tyrone and began a romance with Steve, Tracy's ex-husband.
