Cardi B Vows 'Performance of a Lifetime' After Welcoming Fourth Baby
Cardi B announces birth of fourth baby with Stefon Diggs

Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has assured her legion of fans that she is ready to deliver 'the performance of a lifetime' on her upcoming tour, just days after secretly welcoming her fourth child.

A New Arrival and a Fresh Start

The 33-year-old 'Bodak Yellow' superstar and her boyfriend, 31-year-old NFL star Stefon Diggs, quietly became parents to a baby boy this week. A representative for the artist confirmed the happy news to People magazine, stating simply: 'Cardi is healthy and happy.'

This new chapter comes after Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, first announced her pregnancy in an interview with Gayle King back in September. At the time, she described feeling 'very strong and powerful' and was 'excited' to be expanding her family. Her relationship with Diggs, a wide receiver for the Houston Texans, became Instagram-official in June.

Looking Ahead: Tour Preparations and Personal Growth

Never one to slow down, the new mother took to social media to share a powerful message with her followers. In a video where she lip-synced to her track 'Hello' from her recently released album, Cardi B opened up about this transformative period in her life.

'My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons. My last chapter was the beginning of a new season,' her caption began. She acknowledged that 'starting over is never easy' but emphasised that it has been 'so worth it.'

She proudly declared this next phase as 'Me vs. Me', a period where she is stepping into her power 'better than ever.' Most excitingly for fans, she revealed that she has already started 'prepping for tour getting my body right getting my mind right.' She made a bold promise, stating: 'There's nothing that's gonna stop me from giving you guys the performance of a life time!'

Navigating the Past and Future Relationships

This joyful news is set against the backdrop of her recent divorce from fellow rapper Offset, 32. Cardi B filed for divorce on July 31, 2024, after marrying on September 20, 2017. The pair, who share three children—Kulture, Wave, and Blossom—had a relationship filled with very public ups and downs.

In a September interview with Billboard, Cardi B was candid about the split, shutting down the possibility of a long-term friendship with a terse, 'I tried. Next question.' She later elaborated on The Breakfast Club, revealing the divorce was 'not peaceful at all' and is now a matter for the courts.

As for her future with new partner Stefon Diggs, who is already a father to two daughters, Nova and Charliee, Cardi has suggested she is in no rush to walk down the aisle again. 'I will get married again, but not as quick as I got married the last time,' she stated.

Offset has since reflected on the marriage, admitting his own faults. On the podcast 'Baby, This is Keke Palmer', the father of six said, 'I should have respected her way more. I made bad decisions as a man, like stepping out.' He added, 'I was being selfish. I could say that as a man, I'm a grown man.'

Fans can next see Cardi B on stage when her Little Miss Drama Tour kicks off on February 11 in California, running for two months and concluding April 17 in Atlanta.
