Cadbury is launching a brand new Twirl chocolate bar in the UK. The confectionery giant has confirmed to Metro that a limited-edition Golden Dipped Twirl will be available nationwide later this year. This new variant replaces the classic milk chocolate coating with a smooth layer of golden, caramelised white chocolate, offering a nostalgic nod to the discontinued Caramac bar.
What is the new Twirl flavour?
The Golden Dipped Twirl features the signature flaky chocolate centre, but instead of being enrobed in milk chocolate, it is coated in a caramelised white chocolate. This gives it a sweeter, creamier taste that is expected to appeal to fans of both Twirl and Caramac.
When will it launch?
Cadbury has not specified an exact release date, stating only that the bar will arrive 'later this year'. As a limited-edition product, it will be available for a short time only. A spokesperson said: 'Yes, the rumours are true! Some of our eagle-eyed fans may have spotted that the new limited-edition Cadbury Twirl Golden Dipped bars are coming. We’ll be unveiling the bars nationwide later this year, so keep your eyes peeled for further details on the launch – we promise, it will be worth the wait!'
Previous Twirl variations
This is not the first time Cadbury has experimented with the Twirl. In May 2025, the brand released a limited-edition Cadbury Twirl White Dipped, which reminded consumers of the discontinued Cadbury Snow Flake from the 2000s. Prior to that, an orange-flavoured Twirl also hit shelves. The Golden Dipped Twirl follows a trend of short-term, small-batch releases.
Cadbury has had a relatively quiet year for new products. The most notable launch was the Cadbury & More Biscoff bar in March, accompanied by a packaging revamp for the range. Earlier in the year, the company also brought back fan-favourite limited-edition sharing bars with updated messaging.
For those eager to try the Golden Dipped Twirl, keeping an eye on supermarket shelves and Cadbury’s official channels is recommended. As the spokesperson hinted, 'it will be worth the wait'.
