Emmerdale Star Bradley Johnson Exits After 7 Years as Vinny Dingle
Bradley Johnson Leaves Emmerdale After 7 Years

Another major Emmerdale exit has been announced as Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny Dingle, is set to leave the ITV soap after seven years. The actor joins a growing list of departing stars, including Dawn Taylor actress Olivia Bromley and Jimmy King legend Nick Miles.

Vinny Dingle's Journey on Emmerdale

Vinny first arrived in the village seven years ago when his mother, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), made her long-awaited return to the Dales after an 18-year absence. The mother-son duo quickly became fan favorites, known for their comedic chemistry and a memorable lockdown two-hander episode.

Since then, Vinny has been at the center of several major storylines, including a hard-hitting abuse plot involving his biological father, Paul (Reece Dinsdale), who was a violent bully. His romance with Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) also captivated viewers, as did his friendships with Aaron (Danny Miller) and Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah).

Recent Storylines and Departure

Last year, Vinny married Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) but later questioned his sexuality after attempting to kiss Kammy. He bravely confided in Gabby, and after their separation, he began a relationship with Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches), a key storyline in recent months.

According to reports from The Sun, Vinny's time in the village is coming to an end, with the character set to be written out. A source said, 'Bradley is a very popular member of the cast and especially close with his on-screen Dingle family,' adding that co-star Lisa Riley is 'devastated.'

Metro has reached out to Emmerdale for comment. The news follows the recent announcement that Jimmy King star Nick Miles will leave after 22 years, with his character reportedly being killed off. Olivia Bromley is also exiting amid Dawn's plot against Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 or streams from 7am on ITVX and YouTube.
