Beetlejuice Musical Opens in London: A Spooky Spectacle

Tim Burton's 1988 comedy horror classic Beetlejuice has been resurrected as a stage musical, opening this month at the Prince Edward Theatre in London. After successful productions in the United States and Australia, the show brings the ghostly antics to the West End with a full cast and orchestra.

A First Look at Rehearsals

Photographer Tristram Kenton captured exclusive images during rehearsals, offering a glimpse into the making of the production. The musical, officially titled Beetlejuice: The Musical. The Musical. The Musical., features a tongue-in-cheek nod to its own name. David Fynn stars as the titular bio-exorcist, a mischievous spirit summoned when his name is spoken three times.

Cast and Characters

Hannah Nordberg plays Lydia Deetz, the role originated by Winona Ryder in the film. Lydia moves into a haunted house still inhabited by the ghosts of its previous owners, Adam and Barbara Maitland, portrayed by David Hunter and Chelsea Halfpenny. Aimie Atkinson and Alasdair Harvey also join the cast, with Harvey playing Charles Deetz, Lydia's father. Vanessa Aurora Sierra takes on the role of Miss Argentina, who guides Lydia and Charles through the netherworld.
