Global Chocolate Adventures: From Dorset to Japan, New Treats Reviewed
Global Chocolate Adventures: From Dorset to Japan

Aurosó has returned after a break with super low-sugar, high-cocoa content chocolate, and their 90% cocoa Candied Orange Florins are an excellent chewy treat, resembling a very grown-up chocolate coin. Grá and Corra were new discoveries; the Corra Peanuts Crunchy bar, with 60% cocoa, offers an oozy crunchy experience perfect for peanut lovers. Grá, an Irish chocolatier, produces long lozenge-shaped filled chocolates that were slightly too sweet for the reviewer but enjoyed by testers.

MayHawk and Dorset Chocolate

MayHawk's 63% Olive Oil and Welsh Sea Salt bar stands out with amazing artwork and almost unimaginable smoothness. During a trip to Poole, the reviewer received two bars of Dorset Chocolate from a friend: Stars Over Cranborne, a 63% bar well-received by those unsure about dark chocolate, and All the Fun of the Fair, a 42% milk chocolate with toffee crunch.

Pierre Marcolini and Philip Khoury

Pierre Marcolini has launched My Journey Through Japan box, with every tiny chocolate being a magical flavour-bomb, currently available in-store only. Philip Khoury's Love Letters chocolate bars now include a Nuts Upon Nuts Trio, where the chocolate is made from the nut it covers for non-dairy creaminess.
