Television viewers are in for a festive treat tonight as a unique cooking show demonstrates how to prepare Christmas dinner three months in advance, while Hollywood star Kate Winslet talks about her move into directing.
Festive Feasting Made Easy
At 8pm on Channel 4, Batch from Scratch at Christmas sees Suzanne Mulholland, better known as 'The Batch Lady', team up with presenter Joe Swash. The heavily Lidl-sponsored programme follows the duo as they help a family hosting Christmas for the very first time.
Mulholland's thrifty method involves using a frozen turkey and pre-prepared trimmings, promising to demonstrate how to create an entire festive feast in just thirty minutes. The show will also feature recipes for lobster mac and cheese and a child-friendly tiramisu.
Prime Time Highlights Across the Channels
The festive theme continues on Channel 5 at 8pm with World's Biggest Christmas Market. Presenter Tom Read Wilson visits Cologne's famous Christmas market in Germany, on a mission to find gifts for his friends and family, with the potential distraction of glühwein along the way.
For drama fans, Sky Max at 9pm airs the season three climax of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The episode sees Daryl (Norman Reedus) and cowgirl Paz (Alexandra Masangkay) go undercover on a rescue mission in Barcelona, with Carol (Melissa McBride) in pursuit.
Over on Sky Atlantic at 9pm, the tense family drama All Her Fault continues. Abby Elliott stars as Lia, whose past revelation causes major conflict for the Irvine family, momentarily sidelining their kidnapped-child crisis.
Kate Winslet's Directorial Debut
The evening's major talking point comes on BBC One at 10.40pm with The Graham Norton Show. Acclaimed actress Kate Winslet will be on the famous red sofa to discuss her first film as a director, the Christmas-themed Goodbye June.
She will be joined by an eclectic mix of fellow guests, including former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, The Celebrity Traitors winner Alan Carr, and US talkshow host Seth Meyers. The episode will also feature a musical performance from Cat Burns, singing her single There's Just Something About Her.
Elsewhere in the schedule, BBC One's charming sitcom Daddy Issues continues at 9.35pm, following a fraught family weekend at a caravan park.
